Artist's Description
This is a photograph of an old mural painted on the side of a decaying building in Superior, Arizona. The ad is for Mission Lotta Cola; I believe they were the first beverage producer to bottle a beverage in a 16 ounce size.
I love the blue color and the rust. The mural is painted on the side of a building that looks like it could tumble any day and this wonderful signage will be lost to history. The crumbling stucco tells the sad story. A little piece of our history soon to be gone forever. I'm happy to be able to preserve this beautiful image.
This work would be a nice addition to a collection of advertising art or for anyone who collects Soda memorabilia or just likes history.
About Karyn Robinson
Robinson grew up in the midwest and has lived in Arizona with her husband Jeff for more than 25 years. "When we moved to the southwest I was immediately taken with the desert's exotic beauty. In addition to her contemporary take on southwestern art, Robinson enjoys painting abstracts, unusual objects (check out her robot painting, A Boy and His Dog) and capturing people at play. "Sometimes I feel that there is not enough time in the day to paint everything I want to paint. I'm so captivated by this wonderful, beautiful world. If I can just continue to paint and share my work with...

Karyn Robinson replied:
Thanks, Chastity. I think it's beautiful. Unfortunately it's probably gone by now. The advertisement was on the side of a crumbling building. I feel very fortunate to have preserved it!
